111: Ripples of Impact (with Morris Kabuye)

From the African Children’s Choir to an IT job to becoming National Director of TeachBeyond Uganda, follow along with Morris Kabuye’s story of being a vessel, available for the Lord to work through Him.

  • “It doesn’t matter which side of River Jordan you are, I will bless you.”
  • “If we all remain in the west, who is actually going to take charge? Who is going to lead, who is going to impact, who is going to show them a better way of doing things?”
  • “We want them to be able to sit and read and let the Holy Spirit speak to them through the Word of God.”
  • “I don’t do the transformation, but God uses people. God wants us to be available.”
  • “The impact is being created, and the ripple is starting to go.”
  • “People asked why I had come back, whether I [was] not wise for having decided to return.”
  • “God has given each and every one of us numerous chances and opportunities, and so I’ve learned not to give up on the youth because they are stubborn, because they are not changing, because it takes time.”
  • Deuteronomy 9
  • “I am here as a vessel, and God can decide to pluck me out of it and put someone else here, but while I’m here, I’m going to do my best to do what God put me here for.”
  • “This is not my work; this is God’s work, and He will make sure that it is accomplished.”

What’s changing our lives:

  • Heather: Having friends move to my neighborhood
  • Morris: New phone and kids becoming good swimmers
