TeachBeyond Child Sponsorship Welcomes Arbor Christian Academy 

We are pleased to welcome Arbor Christian Academy (ACA) in the Dominican Republic (DR) to our Child Sponsorship Program! ACA (DR) began when the community of San Francisco de Macorís dreamed of a school that would provide both a quality Christian education and a thorough knowledge of the English language. This dedicated group believed that a school following both Dominican and American standards would prepare students to be effective leaders in this global world. Since 2014, American educators and TeachBeyond members, Jessica Moulding and Ellen Kujawski, have worked with this community to make this dream a reality.

ACA officially opened as a bilingual elementary school in August 2017 with 14 kindergarten and first grade students. Over the years, they have grown by adding one grade level at a time, so the school now serves over 100 students in kindergarten through sixth grade classes. The students and families that are served at ACA come from varied social, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds. By joining TeachBeyond’s Child Sponsorship Program, ACA’s board and leadership hope to increase their impact by serving children in the community who otherwise would not have an opportunity to receive a quality education and hear how God can transform their lives into all He intends.
