Associate Regional Director Informal Education - West Asia
The Associate Regional Director of Informal Education will support and develop Informal Education (IE) in West Asia.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree qualification
- Post bachelor level qualification
- Significant cross-cultural experience, ideally in Asia
- Proven experience leading individuals and teams
- Able and willing to travel in West Asia relating to this role
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Act as part of the West Asia Leadership Team (WALT)
- Support members and others involved in Informal Education in West Asia
- Coordinate within WALT and also to Global Regions regarding the development of IE
- Lead on Informal Education projects and programs in the region
- Develop a working definition of Informal Education for West Asia
- Maintain existing projects and programs
- Work with Global Regions and Services to expand IE projects and programs in the region
- Consider the pros and cons of remote IE initiatives
- Advise RVP West Asia regarding all IE activity in the region
- To enable this role, travel into West Asia will be required in discussion with the RVP, and in consideration of an effective use of a limited budget.
- This role is envisioned to be full time, with the approximate equivalent of 1 day a week contributing to the wider development of TeachBeyond beyond this specific role remit. In discussion with the RVP, this could include
- Engagement in national or global office activities
- Focus on one heart project within the region, subject to clarity of engagement across TeachBeyond
- Engagement with a project or members outside of the region
Location: Ideally located in West Asia
This opportunity is a remote and support based position. Pay is based on the applicant's own ability to raise funds for their salary; paid via donor or self-support.
POSITION START DATE: January 2026
