Special Education Teacher (K-6)

Arbor Christian Academy invites Special Education teachers who believe the classroom can be a place of transformation—where academic growth, character formation, and hope for the future develop together for every learner. At Arbor, education is deeply personal. With approximately 120 students in grades K–6, our teachers are able to truly invest in each child, including those with diverse learning needs. We are committed to supporting students with behavioral and academic challenges, as well as students with Down syndrome, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences. This role is central to helping us build and implement programming that allows all students to thrive in a Christ-centered environment where they are challenged, supported, and known.

This individual will collaborate closely with teachers across all grade levels, providing training, resources, and coaching to strengthen inclusive classroom practices. They will deliver both push-in and pull-out services, support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and maintain consistent, compassionate communication with families. Through this work, they will help ensure that every student has access to meaningful learning experiences and opportunities to grow in faith, curiosity, and confidence.

• You value strong relationships and clear communication with families
• You hold a degree or certification in Special Education (in addition to a degree, prior experience in this field is preferred but not required)
• You are willing to develop fluency in both Spanish and/or English to effectively partner with families and staff
